What services does Harbor & Haven Home Care provide?
We provide non-medical in-home support designed to help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home. Services may include personal care assistance, companionship, respite care, assistance with activities of daily living, meal-related support, light household assistance related to the client’s care, and other approved non-medical support.
Do you provide medical or skilled nursing care?
No. Harbor & Haven Home Care provides non-medical home care. We do not diagnose, treat medical conditions, administer skilled nursing care, or replace a physician, nurse, or other licensed medical professional.
Who can receive services?
We support eligible seniors, adults with disabilities, Veterans, individuals needing respite support, and families seeking dependable assistance at home. Services are based on the client’s needs, service availability, and applicable program requirements.
Where do you provide services?
We primarily serve Stafford County and surrounding Northern Virginia communities. Contact us to confirm whether services are available in your specific location.
Do you provide respite care?
Yes. Respite care may provide temporary support for an unpaid family caregiver who needs time to rest, work, attend appointments, or manage personal responsibilities. Eligibility and payment requirements vary by program.
Does Harbor & Haven accept Medicaid?
We are pursuing participation in applicable Virginia Medicaid home- and community-based service programs. Medicaid services require eligibility, authorization, and applicable provider enrollment. Coverage is not guaranteed until the service is authorized.
Does the VA pay for your services?
Potentially, depending on the Veteran’s eligibility, VA authorization, service, and applicable community-care requirements. Confirm and authorize VA coverage before services begin. Eligibility and participation are in progress; date to be determined.
Do you accept Medicare?
Medicare generally does not cover ongoing non-medical custodial or companion care. It may cover certain qualifying skilled home-health services through eligible providers. We recommend confirming benefits directly with Medicare.
Can I pay privately?
Yes. Private-pay services may be available for clients without insurance or government-funded programs. Contact us for current rates, service minimums, and payment options.
Do you require a deposit?
A $45 non-refundable deposit may apply to scheduled services, subject to the applicable service agreement and cancellation policy.
How do I get started?
Contact Harbor & Haven to discuss your needs. We can explain available services, complete the appropriate intake process, review payment options, and determine the next steps for establishing care.
