Our concierge approach is designed for older adults, adults with disabilities, Veterans, busy families, and caregivers throughout Stafford County, Fredericksburg, and Northern Virginia.

What Does Concierge Support Mean?

Concierge support may complement non-medical home care through services such as:

• Personalized companionship and social engagement
• Assistance with daily routines and household organization
• Meal-related assistance
• Light household support associated with the client’s care
• Respite support for family caregivers
• Assistance organizing appointments and important information
• Coordination with family members and authorized care professionals
• Connecting clients and families with appropriate community resources
• Helping families identify additional senior, Veteran, caregiver, transportation, wellness, or community services

Services are individualized according to the client’s needs, service agreement, applicable Virginia requirements, and payer authorization when required.

Virginia’s home-care regulations recognize activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, shopping, laundry, and telephone use as instrumental activities of daily living, while companion services can include meal preparation, shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and household management.

A Higher-Touch Family Experience

Families may choose concierge-oriented support when they need an extra layer of organization and communication around an aging loved one’s daily life.

This may be especially helpful when family members:

• Live outside the local area
• Have demanding work schedules
• Share caregiving responsibilities
• Need occasional respite
• Want additional oversight of non-medical household routines

With the client’s permission and applicable privacy requirements, Harbor & Haven can communicate with designated family members regarding services and identified concerns.

Connecting You to Local Resources

We can help families identify appropriate resources throughout Stafford County and Northern Virginia, including aging services, Veteran resources, caregiver programs, transportation resources, community organizations, and other supportive services.

Resource referrals do not constitute medical, legal, financial, or benefits advice, and eligibility or availability is determined by the applicable organization.

What We Do Not Provide

Harbor & Haven’s concierge support remains non-medical.

We do not provide medical diagnosis or treatment, skilled nursing, psychotherapy, financial management, legal services, emergency response, or other services requiring a professional license that we do not hold.

We also do not represent that a third-party service or benefit is covered by VA, Medicare, Medicaid, insurance, or another payer unless coverage has been appropriately verified and authorized.

Your Privacy & Choice Matter

Clients have the right to privacy, respectful treatment, participation in planning their care, and the ability to voice concerns or refuse services. Virginia regulations specifically require home-care organizations to protect client rights and provide information about services, fees, and payment responsibilities.
